Chelsea will kick off their Club World Cup campaign with a semi-final clash against Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal on Wednesday afternoon.
Thomas Tuchel’s Blues claimed Champions League glory last season as Kai Havertz’ strike proved enough to beat Premier League rivals Manchester City in Porto.
Now, the west Londoners are in the United Arab Emirates to compete in the global tournament of FIFA’s Club World Cup.
Due to their superior ranking, Chelsea will enter at the final four stage and will face Al-Hilal who beat Al Jazira 6-1 on Sunday to reach the semi-finals.
Brazilian big guns Palmeiras face Egypt’s Al Ahly in the other semi ahead of the final this weekend.
Chelsea have never won the Club World Cup and were beaten 1-0 by Corinthians back in 2012.

Chelsea v Al-Hilal: Team news
Chelsea confirmed a squad of 23 players who travelled to Abu Dhabi, with the Blues arriving on Sunday.
Reece James, who has not featured since picking up a hamstring injury against Brighton in December, has travelled to Abu Dhabi but will not be part of their matchday ranks.
Edouard Mendy will link up with the squad later, with the in-form goalkeeper having lead Senegal to African Cup of Nations glory over the weekend.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek has not travelled with Chelsea, with the England midfielder still battling a recent knock.
Boss Thomas Tuchel has not travelled either after testing positive for Covid-19 on Saturday and going straight into self-isolation.
The Blues still hope that Tuchel can link up with the squad in Abu Dhabi in due course, but until then assistant coaches Arno Michels and Zsolt Low will continue to hold the fort.
Chelsea squad for Club World Cup: Arrizabalaga, Bettinelli, Rudiger, Christensen, Silva, Chalobah, Sarr, Azpilicueta, James, Kenedy, Alonso, Jorginho, Kante, Kovacic, Saul, Barkley, Ziyech, Pulisic, Mount, Hudson-Odoi, Werner, Havertz, Lukaku.
